Year 10 Prefects 2024/2025
Year 10 Prefects attend leadership meetings, represent the school, organise community events, take on lunch duties and set the standard by which the other students measure themselves. The benefits of joining the Prefect Team are numerous. Students develop critical leadership skills, including effective communication, problem-solving, and team management. These Fusion Skills also nurture personal development, building confidence, responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, Prefects engage with the school community, enhancing their sense of belonging and commitment. The application process starts in the Autumn Term following an assembly outlining the role and opportunities. Students complete an application form explaining their suitability for the role and shortlisted students are then invited for an interview. Once Year 10 Prefects are elected, there is an opportunity to run for Deputy Head Prefect. The Year 10 Deputy Head Prefect works closely with the Y12 Student Headship Team to lead the Year 10 Prefect Team.
