At the City of London Academy Highgate Hill, we provide opportunities for pupils to achieve their full potential in language learning using interactive lessons, authentic materials and games.
Our aim at Key Stage 3 is to inspire a love of languages and an appreciation for different cultures.
Students in Year 7 will be allocated either French or Spanish as a form group and will continue with this until year 11.
In line with the national curriculum, we focus creatively on the four skills for language learning: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Additionally, they will have to discuss the themes of the films using the key phrases they have learnt in the target language to develop their language skills.
